About us

Core-Connect was established in 2015 by Frank & Caroline, a family run business boasting over 20 years of telecom & networking experience.

Frank is the principle engineer and was first part of a computer networking & repair company based in Kenley near Purley/Croydon in the South East of England, working within the M25 area. Due to being an authorised Apple repairer, much of his work revolved around onsite computer & networking support for many of the publishing houses throughout Greater London.

Following his time in computer networking he worked for British Telecom in new communication technologies. Expanding knowledge & skill from indoor networking to outdoor telecom, both traditional & next-generation and involved in the trials of ADSL broadband throughout the London area in the early 2000’s.

During 15 years with BT became highly skilled in overhead & underground cabling, pole & duct work, exchange/frame, worked with BT Security/Redcare and in the latter half of his career became a Special Faults Investigator, solving the most difficult broadband (ADSL/VDSL) & interference faults (REIN).

After marrying we moved to the Wirral in North West England and with BT ending the team coach role and proving to have no future for us, we started our own business. With much of Frank's spare time at BT being spent becoming skilled in security products like CCTV and seeing the gaps in the market such as Wi-Fi that BT had shown no real interest for providing site engineered solutions for. The course was set for us to strike out on our own and start the customer focused company we are today. -Caroline.
